I love making an assortment of cookies and making a mixed tray for after the main dinner when we have coffee and tea. I also love making Christmas ornaments :) Happy Monday - awesome giveaway!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas make is a new decoration for the tree each year. This year I made some very cute mittens with red cuffs. If I have time I embroider the year- they are lovely keepsakes and bring back memories everytime.

ReplyDeleteLong ago, I made ornaments from sand dollars using gar scales and mustard seeds in the center to form a poinsettia. I can't tell you how many I made because I used this for a project at school as well as home!

ReplyDeleteI like to make zip pouches as Christmas gifts, they're not too complex or time consuming ( now that I've found some great zipper tutorials & the suggestion to use glue rather than pins - genius!). It's even a good gift for blokes as well, as long as some suitably manly fabric is used of course! Thanks for this lovely giveaway, have heard great things about the magazine but sadly it's not made it to Australia yet & that ruler fabric is amazing!

It's such a simple thing and not even my best work, but it makes me smile to think of the traditions our little family started with that banner. :)

My favorite has to be the three stockings I made for my kids when they were young. I needlepointed a stocking for my first son, and cross-stitched one for my 2nd son, and then my daughter. They are all grown up and married now, and I have some grand babies, but I still hang these stockings every year.
